I am the full time caregiver to my two small children.

This blog is about trying to be a decent full-time caregiver to my very young children and also maintain my sanity. I make a lot of mistakes. Tons of them. All the time. I have a 4 year-old and a 1 year-old, both girls, a husband and two large dogs. We live in a rental duplex in a small city in the Pacific Northwest where everything closes at 6 and it rains all the time. I'm into knitting, thrift shopping, movies, comic books, non-comic books, and some other stuff, so I will write about those things, too. Anything I write about cleaning, cooking, crafting, or home decorating is incidental to being a grown-up person who has to do all that stuff and/or has a few domestic hobbies: I will not be inspiring anyone to achieve excellence in the home arts. I can, however, advise you on the proper preparation of popcorn and the best way to plow through a week's worth of unfolded laundry the night before the landlord comes over to fix the light switch in the kitchen. I've got skills.

And not incidentally: "Terrible/Perfect" is the name of a very good song by my favorite band, Built to Spill.
